Das Bundesseminar für das landwirtschaftliche Bildungswesen hat ab 1948 als einzige Bildungsstätte Österreichs die Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung der LehrerInnen und BeraterInnen für die Land- und forstwirtschaftlichen Schulen sowie den landwirtschaftlichen Förderungsdienst wahrgenommen.
Die Agrarpädagogische Akademie wurde am 1. Oktober 2007 in die Hochschule für Agrar- und Umweltpädagogik übergeführt. Mit diesem Entwicklungsschritt ist die Ausbildung auf tertiäres Niveau gehoben worden, sowie erstmals ein spezielles Studienprogramm für MultiplikatorInnen im Umweltbereich geschaffen worden.
Die Chronologie dieser Organisationsgeschichte sowie die historisch relevanten Hintergründe werden dokumentiert und mittels „Oral History“ Interviews illustriert. Darüber hinaus ist die Geschichte des Hauses „Angermayergasse 1“ im Hinblick auf die jüdischen Vorbesitzer Meta und Leopold Blum sowie deren Tochter Lucy Mertens beschrieben.

Since 1948 the federal seminar for the agricultural training system in Vienna was the only Austrian education site for advanced training and continuing education of teachers and advisers for the agricultural and forest schools as well as the agricultural advisory service.
The Agrarian Educational Academy was incorporated into the university college for agrarian and environment education in October 2007. With this step of development the education level was lifted to the tertiary educational level. Moreover a special study program was created for multipliers in the environmental area.
In this study the chronology of this organisation as well as the historically relevant background is documented and illustrated by “Oral History” interviews. Furthermore the history of the house “Angermayergasse 1” is described in view of the previous Jewish owners Meta and Leopold Blum as well as their daughter Lucy Mertens.
