Abstract (eng)
Today Guillaume de Machaut is known as one of the major representatives of the ars nova, whos ɶuvre is perfectly well preserved. In the work of Machaut the mass de Nostre Dame takes an exceptional position, as it is the first reference of a stilistically coherent ordinarium scoring and it was possibly even the first ordinarium to be intended as a unit. The focus of this thesis is set upon this opus, whereat it is an effort, to gather already reviewed knowledge on Machaut and his mass de Nostre Dame, as well as presenting new aspects such as the project tres miradas sobre Machaut. The revival, up to a reinvention of Machaut and his mass are investigated from different points of view. The considerations range between a rediscovery in musical historical literature and modern editions up to interpretations on sound as well as on compositorial apects. Scientists, interpreters and also composers have arguments on their own why they are dealing with this mass. As a final step the thesis goes into the matter, why Guillaume de Machaut has such a great appeal in these days.
