Abstract (deu)
Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Bewertung von Ökosystemfunktionen entlang des Grünen Bandes zwischen Bayern und Thüringen. Im Fokus liegt der Einfluss, den das Grüne Band auf die Ökosystemfunktionen der umliegenden Landschaft hat. Biotopkartierungen in unterschiedlichen Entfernungsklassen vom Grünen Band sowie eine Bewertungsmatrix der Biotoptypen in Bezug auf ihre Bereitstellung ausgewählter Ökosystemleistungen stellten die Datengrundlage dar, um zu testen, ob ein solcher Einfluss auf die Ökosystemfunktionen der Umgebung vorhanden ist. Die Studie zeigt, dass ein Großteil der Ökosystemfunktionen in der naturnahesten Region mit zunehmender Entfernung vom Grünen Band an Wert verliert. Hier ist ein positiver Einfluss des ehemaligen Grenzstreifens auf die umliegende Natur weiterhin messbar. In den beiden anderen Regionen konnte kein Einfluss des Grünen Bandes auf die Ökosystemfunktionen in der Umgebung festgestellt werden. Lediglich in Gebieten, die auch seit der Grenzöffnung weiterhin unter Schutz stehen, spiegelt sich die Erhaltung der Natur in den bereitgestellten Ökosystemfunktionen wider. Ein Unterschied zwischen der bayerischen und der thüringischen Grenzseite konnte nicht festgestellt werden.

In this study the supply of ecosystem functions along the Green Belt between Bavaria and Thuringia was assessed. The study focused on the influence the Green Belt zone has on the ecosystem functions in the surrounding landscape. Biotope mappings in different distance classes from the Green Belt and a rating matrix of the biotope types concerning the supply of selected ecosystem functions served as data basis. The results show that in the nearest-natural region the remoteness of the landscape surrounding the former Iron Curtain led to a preservation of valuable landscape elements with high function values for numerous ecosystem functions. And most ecosystem functions decline with increasing distance to the Green Belt. In the other two areas that were mapped the positive influence by the former remoteness is only preserved inside the nature reserve itself but it has largely lost its effect outside. Also, with the broader habitat method as it was used in this study no outstanding difference between the Thuringian and the Bavarian side concerning the provision of ecosystem services could be detected.
