Abstract (deu)
Die Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Thema der Emotionalität beim Dolmetschen. Dabei liegt der Fokus auf dem sozialen, medizinischen und therapeutischen Bereich des Dialogdolmetschens. Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit steht die Frage, ob und wie Emotionen Einfluss auf die Arbeit der Dolmetschenden haben. Die Arbeit ist in drei Teile gegliedert. Der erste Teil der Arbeit behandelt die Themen der Rolle und der Erwartungen an die Dolmetschenden. Dabei werden Aspekte wie Neutralität, Soziokultur, Konstellation und aktive Integration der Dolmetschenden näher beleuchtet. Der zweite Teil der Arbeit widmet sich dem Thema der Emotionen. Es werden grundsätzliche Fragen zum Thema Emotionen beantwortet sowie ihre Rolle im Dolmetschsetting erläutert. Der dritte Teil der Arbeit stellt die empirische Studie dar. Es werden die Ergebnisse der Analyse von neun Interviews mit Dolmetschenden vorgestellt. Die Analyse basiert auf den theoretischen Grundlagen aus den ersten beiden Abschnitten. Dazu wurde die qualitative Forschungsmethode gewählt. Die Analyse zeigt, dass es Diskrepanzen zu den Erwartungen, die an Dolmetschende in Bezug auf Emotionalität gestellt werden, gibt. Darüber hinaus werden die Bedeutung der emotionalen Komponente und die daraus resultierenden Vorteile beim Dolmetschen im sozialen, medizinischen und therapeutischen Bereich hervorgehoben.

This Master’s thesis deals with emotionality in an interpreted encounter. The emphasis is on the social, medical and therapeutic field of dialogue interpreting. The central question is whether and how emotions influence the work of interpreters. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part relates to the topics of role and expectations on interpreters. Thus, aspects like neutrality, socioculture, constellation and active integration of interpreters are discussed. The second part of the paper approaches the subject of emotions. Basic questions on emotions are answered as well as their role in the interpreted encounter discussed. The third part of the paper includes the presentation of the empirical study. The results of the analysis of nine interviews with interpreters are presented. The analysis is based on the theoretical framework displayed in the first two chapters. For this purpose, the qualitative research method was used. The analysis shows that there are discrepancies concerning the expectations on interpreters regarding to emotionality. Furthermore, the significance of the emotional element and the resulting advantages in an interpreted encounter of a social, medical and therapeutic context is emphasised.
