A corpus of Spanish plays with dramatic and metric information
Description (spa)
This is a database of verses from 425 plays of the Spanish Golden Age, written by or attributed to 23 playwrights, the most numerous being those of Calderón de la Barca and Lope de Vega. This includes the author, title, subtitle, genre, subgenre of the play in which it is found, the year of the princeps edition, and the credits of the scholarly edition. The dramatic information includes the act and the speech in the play and the character(s) speaking it, together with the character's typology and gender. The database also provides automatically extracted metrical information for each verse, such as the number of syllables, their syllable nuclei, assonance, consonance and rhythm. Authors: Calderón, Lope de Vega, Moreto, Tirso de Molina, Godínez, Rojas, Castro, Tárrega, Mira de Amescua, Aguilar, Virués, Vélez de Guevara, Zayas, Alarcón, Cubillo, Rey de Artieda, Micer Andrés, Sor Juana, Cervantes, Monteser, Coello, Solís, Caro, Lanini (in collaboration with Moreto).
