Description (deu)
This talk was part of the Workshop on "Spin-Orbit Entangled Quantum Magnetism" held at the ESI September 23 -- 27, 2024. Sr2RuO4 has long been a system of interest due to its unconventional superconducting properties. While paramagnetic metal in its normal state, the system harbors interesting landscape of competing magnetic instabilities that are intricately linked to its superconducting pairing symmetries. In this talk, I will discuss the various magnetic features we have investigated in the Sr2RuO4 and then discuss the various magnetic features we have investigated in Sr2RuO4, highlighting their intimate connection to experimental findings. Specifically, we attempt to explain the onset of a static magnetic order beyond a critical strain by combining the first-principles density functional theory and Moriya’s self-consistent renormalization theory.
