Im Rahmen der 100 Stunden Astronomie fand der Astronomietag am 4. April 2009 am Maria-Theresien-Platz in Wien statt. Diese Veranstaltung wurde von Amateurastronomen und dem Institut für Astronomie der Universität Wien betreut. Eine Gruppe von Künstlerinnen und Künstlern schuf kugelige Objekte in Form von Planeten, welche herumgerollt werden konnten.

During the worldwide event 100 Hours of Astronomy, the Day of Astronomy took place on the Maria-Theresien-Platz in Vienna on April 4, 2009. This event was organized by both amateur astronomers and the Department of Astronomy of the University Vienna. A group of artists created spherical objects as stars and planets that could be rolled by visitors.
