Neben dem Bundespräsidenten Dr. Heinz Fischer und dem Wissenschaftsminister Dr. Johannes Hahn wohnten auch Vertreter der nationalen und internationalen astronomischen Forschung der Feierlichkeit am 5. Juni 2008 bei.

During the ceremonial act of the 125th anniversary of the University Observatory in Währing (18th district of Vienna) the Austrian National Anthem was played. Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer as well as Federal Minister of Science and Research Dr. Johannes Hahn and other representants of the national and international astronomical community attended this event on June 5, 2008.
