Anlässlich der 125 Jahr Feier der Universitätssternwarte in Wien Währing überreichte der Subeinheitsleiter Dr. Gerhard Hensler eine Historische Ansicht des Institutsgebäudes an den Bundespräsidenten Dr. Heinz Fischer. Neben dem Bundespräsidenten und dem Wissenschaftsminister Dr. Johannes Hahn wohnten auch Vertreter der nationalen und internationalen astronomischen Forschung der Feierlichkeit am 5. Juni 2008 bei.

During the ceremonial act of the 125th anniversary of the University Observatory in Währing (18th district of Vienna) a Historical View of the Building was handed over to Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer by the Head of the Department of Astronomy Dr. Gerhard Hensler. The Federal President as well as the Federal Minister of Science and Research Dr. Johannes Hahn and other representants of the national and international astronomical community attended this event on June 5, 2008.
