The regulations considering the moment of validity of the sacrifice centralisation laws (Dtn 12:8–10) and the restriction of the general slaughter permission (Dtn 12:20f.) suggest a realization of the laws already within the time of the Kings. At the same time they refer to a new time of salvation after the Exile. There is a tension between the realization that has taken place already and such one that will definitely happen in the future.
