The term power is defined according to the Latin terms vis, violentia, potestas und potential and applied to Song of Songs. Different aspects of power are evaluated. These are the woman at the king’s court, the woman and her brothers, between intimate and illegitimate love, the self hazard of love and vocabulary of force and power as expression of love.
