Description (de)
The Austrian Central Library for Physics in Vienna holds the most comprehensive collection of documents regarding the work and life of Austrian Nobel prize laureate (1933) Erwin Schrödinger (1887-1961) who was among the most influential theoretical physicists of the first half of the 20th century. The respective holdings consist of about 2,000 items (mostly notebooks, research and teaching files, letters, manuscripts, drafts, photographs, press clippings and memorabilia) which have been almost completely digitized and are freely available for research online via the institutional repository of Vienna University, Phaidra. The paper gives a brief overview of the respective collections (including their indexing and digitization status), and then goes into more detail about searching for digitized source materials on Schrödinger via the Phaidra repository.
