Das im Jahre 1714 von den Jesuiten gegründeten Museum Mathematicum im damaligen Jesuitenkolleg kennzeichnet den Beginn der Experimentalphysik an der Universität Wien. Hier ist die Transkription und Übersetzung der diesbezüglichen Stelle in den Litterae annuae des Jahres 1718, ARSI Austr. 175, p, 240 – 242 zu sehen. Ein Scan der originalen Seitenabschnitte der Handschrift aus dem Jahr 1718 ist auf phaidra.univie.ac.at/o:2112396 zu sehen.

The Museum Mathematicum was founded in 1714 by the Jesuits in their college. This marks the beginning of experimental physics at the University of Vienna. Here you can see the transcription and translation of the relevant passage in the Litterae annuae of 1718, ARSI Austr. 175, p, 240 - 242. A scan of the original page sections of the manuscript from 1718 can be seen on phaidra.univie.ac.at/o:2112396.
