Die Arbeit befasst sich mit den Grundsatzdiskussionen der türkischen Linken von 1960-1980. Hauptthemen sind die Produktionsweise des Osmanischen Reichs, der Entwicklungsstand der Türkei im Vergleich zu den Laendern des Westens und die revolutionaeren Programme der verschiedenen linken Gruppierungen. Die einzelnen Standpunkte werden im Hinblick auf ihre geschichtsphilosophischen Implikationen beurteilt.

The thesis is concerned with the fundamental discussions among Turkish leftists from 1960-1980. The main topics are the mode of production of the Osmanic Empire, the stage of development of Turkey in comparison with the Western countries and the revolutionary programms of the various leftist groups. The different standpoints are valued according to the philosophical view of history they include.
