Abstract (eng)
This thesis analyses the role of two personalities in the development of Austrian women's policy. Both Adelheid Popp and Johanna Dohnal were devoted to their struggle for the cause of women and were at least partly responsible for the establishment of women's policy in Austria.
Leadership Research, complemented by a gender dimension, as well as expert interviews form the basis to illustrate the importance of these two politicians for Austrian women's policy.
Merging their respective biographies with the theoretical approaches shows how strongly Adelheid Popp and Johanna Dohnal were influenced by their time and how the two politician's actions and skills led to major progress in women's politics.
