Abstract (eng)
In the course of developing this diploma thesis, intensive floristic research on lichen was undertaken in the South Tyrolean natural preserve „Rieserferner-Ahrn“. The mapping of the different species took place in summer 2008. Floristic data from the montane, subalpine, alpine and nival zone was collected and analysed regarding lichen-based premises. The area of research was divided into six different regions, which differed not only in ecological but also in micro- and macroclimatic terms. In total, 79 individual lichen species were identified, among which even the rare Peltigera elisabethae and Candelariella coralliza could be found.
After describing the complex lichen relationships, the scheme was embedded into a geographic and vegetation-based context.
The main part of the present thesis covers the description of selected lichen species and their occurrences in the high alpine biotope. The aim was to achieve maximum completeness, which should give a continuative outline to ecology, distribution, uniqueness and understanding of macroscopic features. The own research was compared to literature analysing conformities and noncomformities. This thesis is completed by a short discussion of other lichen species found in the research area, which were not described in detail before.
Furthermore, the reviewed species were categorized by their choice of substrate and altitude of occurrence.
The final chapter is dedicated to some particular associations of lichen species and their nature conservation aspects in the Natura-2000 protectorate.
An alphabetical list at the end of this thesis gives an overview of all the collected lichens. This list is completed with pictures of the various species. Further, the results are summarised in a tabular graphical form.
To allow reevaluation, 191 voucher specimens have been stored in the Natural Preserve House „Rieserferner-Ahrn“.
