Abstract (eng)
The master thesis offers an analysis of the Italian movie genre famous as the spaghetti-western which was widely popular in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century. The characteristics, the style and the innovations of this genre are examined by looking at some of the most influential movies by two of the genre's most famous directors, Sergio Leone and Sergio Corbucci. The focus of the analysis lies not only in the description of the origins, directors, actors, producers or locations of the genre but also in the more controversial aspects of some of these movies like their sometimes graphic use of violence or their ambiguous dipiction of female characters.
