Abstract (eng)
Society and the individual are currently learning to perceive themselves as a globally connected system, which relies on reorganizing itself by way of self-organization as a functional unit.
The novel aspect to this is the global nature of all these interconnections in real time. The next society (Dirk Baecker) has already begun, since this new level of communication unveils the self-reference of the Operation Man.

The individual and society are directly facing each other in the global network: Each knot is cross-linked to the overall network. This new communicative reality of the global network meets our social reality and its organization(s) as these have evolved historically. The network includes every individual as a whole, but always (just) virtually. Organizations, on their part, are included not only virtually, but always (just) partially.
In order to cope with the theoretical paradox of self-reference, Luhmann had called for the integration of PKL (i.e. Polykontexturallogik, Gotthard Günther) and the CI (Calculus of Indications, Spencer Brown) into systems theory.
At this point we like to introduce a tool: The"Neunfelderschema elementarer Totalität" - which takes up Parson’s schematic idea (AGIL functional scheme) and expands it, drawing upon CI’s proto-logical tools, to a scheme capable of abstractly capturing and describing the dynamic operations which form the structural coupling between the individual and society.
