Abstract (deu)
Das Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist es, die Auswirkungen des NS-Regimes auf die Stadt Güssing im Südburgenland in seiner Gesamtheit sichtbar zu machen. Einen besonderen Schwerpunkt bildet die Erfassung des Ausmaßes der "Arisierung" von Betrieben, Immobilien sowie mobiler Vermögenswerte, die sich in jüdischem Eigentum der Bevölkerung von Güssing befunden haben. Die Auswertung basiert auf einer Datenbank, in welcher die gesamte Recherchearbeit zusammengeflossen ist. Ein Teil der Analyse beschäftigt sich mit den den "Arisierungen" zugrundeliegenden Entziehungsvarianten. Im Abschnitt über die Rückstellungen wurde versucht zu klären, was von dem Eigentum, das "arisiert" wurde, auch wieder in den Besitz des/der ursprünglichen Inhabers/Inhaberin gelangt ist. Von der ersten Ansiedlung bis zum Ende im März 1938 wurde neben dem historischen Abriss der Kultusgemeinde in Güssing das Schicksal der jüdischen Bevölkerung in Güssing seit dem "Anschluss" beleuchtet.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to point out the impact of the Nazi-Regime on the small town Güssing in the south of Burgenland in its entirety. One goal is to determine the amount of the aryanization of companies, immovable property so as movable property, which have been the former belongings of the jewish community members. The analysis is based on a database, which consists out of the research activities as a whole. One part of the analysis deals with the different kinds of aryanization. One question was, how much of the belongings that have been taken by the Nazi-regime after 1945 got back to it's real owner. The history of the jewish religion community of Güssing is reconstructed from it's very first beginning till it's end in march 1938. Light is shed on the fate of the jewish community members since the "Anschluss".
