Abstract (eng)
The present MA thesis deals with the teacher’s role in upcoming bullying situations from a theoretical as well as empirical-qualitative perspective. On the one hand, the theoretical part presents bullying and the roles of affected people according to pioneers of violence and education research. On the other hand, it presents an institution that deals with the prevention of bullying and violence as well as its range of preventative measures. The following empirical-qualitative research analyses the teacher’s role with the help of four problem-oriented interviews, which were held with experts from different contexts. The results show that teachers obtain a much diversified role, which is dependent on a number of different factors.
