Abstract (deu)
Gegenstand dieser Magisterarbeit ist die Beantwortung der Frage, ob sich die Darstellung des Helden im Film – genauer die Darstellung des Comic-Superhelden Batman – im Laufe der Zeit verändert hat und ob die mögliche Veränderung als Spiegel der Generationen gesehen werden kann.
Als Analysematerial sollen die acht Batman-Verfilmungen zum Vergleich herangezogen werden. Die Hauptthese, die es in dieser Magisterarbeit zu überprüfen gilt, ist, dass der Held mit jedem Film düsterer, zwielichtiger und gewalttätiger wird. Des Weiteren wird davon ausgegangen, dass Bruce Waynes geistige Labilität steigt und er mit seinen Problemen immer mehr in den Mittelpunkt gelangt. Auch wird davon ausgegangen, dass die Beziehung zwischen Batman und Bruce Wayne immer konfliktgeladener wird, je jünger der Film ist.
Diese Frage wird mit einer Filmanalyse nach Mikos geklärt. Die in dieser Magisterarbeit umgesetzte Variante dieser sehr umfassenden Methode ist Folgende: Nach einer Zusammenfassung des Inhalts des Films werden aus jedem
Film sechs Szenen gewählt, die den Charakter von Batman bzw. Bruce Wayne verdeutlichen sollen. Mithilfe eines Szenenprotokolls werden die Szenen transkribiert, um anschließend analysiert zu werden. So wird der Charakter
herausgearbeitet, damit schlussendlich die sich daraus ergebenden acht Bruce Waynes und die acht Batmen miteinander verglichen werden können.
Teil 1 der Hauptthese (Batman wird immer zwielichtiger, gewalttätiger und düsterer) wird widerlegt. Die Filme selbst werden es, doch nicht der Held. Teil 2 der Hauptthese (Bruce Wayne wird immer labiler und rückt in den Mittelpunkt) wird
verifiziert, ebenso wie Teil 3 der Hauptthese (die Beziehung zwischen Bruce Wayne und Batman wird immer konfliktgeladener) verifiziert wird.

Subject of this master thesis is to answer the question whether the representation of the hero in movies – the comic-book superhero Batman – has changed over time and whether the possible change is mirrored in the generations.
Eight Batman films are analysed and compared. The main thesis of this paper is that the hero becomes gloomier, shadier and more violent with each movie. Moreover, it is assumed that Bruce Wayne`s being mentally unstable increases and that he and his problems become more and more the center of interest.
Besides, it is assumed that the relation between Batman and Bruce Wayne becomes more and more conflict-laden.
This question is resolved by a film analysis according to Mikos. The following variant of this very comprehensive method is implemented in this thesis: First, the content of the film is summarized. After that, a total of six scenes are chosen. By
using a scene protocol, the scenes are transcribed and analysed subsequently. With this method the character is drafted so that in order the arising eight Bruce Waynes and the eight Batmen are compared to each other.
Part 1 of the main thesis (Batman becomes gloomier, more violent and shadier) is refuted. The films it selves do, but the hero does not. Part 2 of the main thesis (Bruce Wayne becomes mentally unstable and gets the center of attention) is verified as well as part 3 of the main thesis (the relation between Bruce Wayne and Batman becomes more and more conflict-laden).
