Abstract (eng)
This diploma-thesis “Grief and peri-mortal support for grief“ deals with the question which insights the contemporary bereavement research provides for the peri-mortal support for people suffering from bereavement and which consequences arise as a result for school.
This work is divided into four parts. First of all, the terms of loss, bereavement, grief and mourning are explained and an insight of the development of Dying, Death and Bereavement in contemporary society is given. Afterwards important models of bereavement research and their outcomes for peri-mortal support for grief are reflected. After that, peri-mortal support of bereavement regarding the practice is investigated. As well, the relations between grief and
religious faith and various appropriate rituals and methods are discussed. The final chapter gives a summary of the consequences for dealing with grief at school.
