Abstract (eng)
The "Education for All"-movement (UNESCO 2000) as a global commitment addresses the right to quality basic education for all children and the removal of barriers to education, with a special focus on the situation of children with disabilities. This master thesis deals with the inclusion of students with complex disabilities in institutional educational processes in Greater Bangkok. For this purpose, data of the international research project CLASDISA (FWF, project number P22178) was used to carry out a case study analysis. Using coding methods of the “Grounded Theory”-methodology by Charmaz (2014), a theoretical conceptualization was developed. This theoretical conceptualization shows that students with complex disabilities are partially excluded from formal educational institutions and partially educated in separate institutions such as special schools. The lack of attention for their individual needs and the deficient perception of students with complex disabilities could be identified as important determinants for the limited access to educational institutions.
