Abstract (deu)

In meiner Arbeit werde ich mich nur mit zwei Figuren beschäftigen, die bei der Bevölkerung in Kosovo und auch bei den Albanern außerhalb des Landes, sehr stark verehrt werden, die aber nicht zu der albanischen Ethnie gehören. Es handelt sich um zwei ehemalige Präsidenten der USA. Als Präsidenten einer Weltmacht, werden die beiden als Figuren gesehen, die die Albaner in Kosovo von einem Genozid gerettet haben. Daher waren sie und sind immer noch die geachtetsten Figuren bei den Albanern auf dem Balkan. Sie waren in einer sehr wichtigen Zeit für die Albaner da und wurden deshalb auch ein Teil der albanischen Geschichte (1993- 2009). Die Rede ist von „Georg W. Bush“ und „Bill Clinton“. Ziel meiner Arbeit ist es, die Reputation der zwei Figuren innerhalb der Bevölkerung zu untersuchen. Es wird der Frage nachgegangen, was diese Namen für das Volk bedeuten und wie diese Figuren angesehen werden. Daher ist man mehr oder weniger gezwungen den größten Teil der Untersuchung mit Interviews zu machen, bzw. die Oral History anzuwenden. Ebenso sind auch die materiellen Quellen in Gjilan untersucht worden. Es wurden alle Überschriften fotografiert und verschiedene Grafite, welche mit den ehemaligen amerikanischen Präsidenten Bill Clinton und Georg W. Bush verbunden waren. Die gesammelten Quellen sind analysiert und interpretiert worden, um den Grund zu finden, warum sie entstanden sind, als jeder von ihnen Ihr eigenes Image geschaffen hatte.

Abstract (eng)

In my research, I have treated the image of two figures, which the nation of Kosovo and in general Kosovo Albanians living abroad thus everywhere in the world, have a lot of respect for these two figures which happen not to be Albanians. I am talking about the two former United States presidents, the presidents of the world superpower, which Albanians see them the ones who saved them from genocide. Since then, these two figures, are the most respected figures from Albanians in Balkan. They were there in a very important political part and for this reason they are part of Kosovo history in the period 1993-2009. They are the former United States presidents Georg W. Bush and Bill Clinton. To research their image, I have used two main sources: 1. Oral source 2. Material sources. The common of these two sources is that for both of them I have used the same location, thus the city of Gjilan – Kosovo. The oral sources or the interviews have been done in city Gjilan and in the villages around. In my population, I have interviewed different people regardless of age, sex and occupations. I should point out in here that none of them were famous public figures. The material sources have also been collected in the city of Gjilan. I have taken pictures of all the images, pictures, and different graffiti; all related to the images of the two former USA presidents Georg W. Bush and Bill Clinton. All these collected resources have been analyzed and interpreted to find out the reason behind which all of them have its own characteristics.
