Abstract (deu)
Die Masterthesis ist in mehrere Abschnitte gegliedert. Zunächst werden technische Grundlagen der Informationstechnologie (Speicherung, Anonymität) vermittelt, anschließend werden gegenwärtige und potenzielle Anwendungsbereiche der Blockchain-Technologie dargestellt. Im Hauptteil werden einige ausgewählte Rechtsfragen (Datenschutz, Kommunikation, Urheberrecht, Cyberkriminalität, Virtuelle Währungen) diskutiert, im Anschluss daran wird auf gesellschaftliche Veränderungen, die sich durch Blockchain-Anwendungen ergeben, eingegangen. Als Fazit werden Vor- und Nachteile dieser Technologie einander gegenübergestellt.

The master’s thesis is structured into several parts. First, there are basic information concerning IT (storage of data, anonymity), followed by current and potential applications of the blockchain-technology. The main chapter (selected questions of law) contains a discussion on Data Protection, Communication, Author’s Rights, Cybercrime and Virtual Currencies. Social alterations due to the implementation of blockchain-technology will be evaluated in the end. To sum up, there is a comparison of advantages and disadvantages of this technology.
