Abstract (eng)
As the medium film, filmspace is also in transition. An ermerging design tendency, a spatial phenomenon, appears like a symptom for this change. In this masterthesis the phenomenon of “Moving Architecture in Filmspace” will be examined. “Architecture” refers to the usual state of spatial matter, which is put in motion by effects. The phenomenon refers primarily to a period of recent years and to movements originated by visual effects. The reference to the film space development finally leads to a theoretical view of immersion and perception. This also creates a second understanding of movement, which looks back on an earlier state of development of film. Both the effect-based motion as well as the movement attribution in earlier film space are examined, analyzing the spatial configurations of DR. STRANGE and THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI and juxtaposing the movement tendencies. The analyzes „scan“ the available space, which is understood as a microscopic procedure. For a preview of the further development of the film space, however, a “macroscopic” view is necessary. In its function as a space laboratory, the film is juxtaposed with the “new” space laboratory Virtual Reality. The respective implementation of the “moving” tendency and the possibilities of further development should be discussed.
