Abstract (deu)
Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit binationalen Paaren in der Selbstständigkeit. Im Speziellen wurde herausgearbeitet, welche Aspekte der Binationalität und der Selbstständigkeit sich in welcher Form auf die Beziehung auswirken. Abhängigkeitsverhältnisse, Machtstrukturen, Fremd- und Selbstzuschreibungen sind wichtige Stichworte für diese Auseinandersetzung. Eine weitere Frage ist, wie das Konzept der ethnischen Ökonomie auf binationale Selbstständige zutreffend ist, und welche Rolle „Ethnizität“ dabei spielt. Entgegen vieler Ansätze um die ethnische Ökonomie wird hier gezeigt, dass Ethnizität natürlich eine Rolle spielt, allerdings nicht normativ. Vielmehr wird sie von den UnternehmernInnen aktiv genutzt, um sich am Arbeitsmarkt zu positionieren. Für diese Arbeit wurden insgesamt 5 Interviews mit InhaberInnen von drei Unternehmen geführt. Als wissenschaftliche Referenz diente ein ExpertInneninterview.

This master thesis focusses on binational couples in self-employment. In particular, it was analyzed which aspects of binationality and self employment affect the relationship in which way. Dependency relationships, power structures and foreign and self-attributions are important keywords for this debate. Another question is how the concept of ethnic business is applicable to binational, self-employed couples and what role "ethnicity" plays in it. Contrary to many approaches to ethnic business, it is shown that ethnicity naturally plays a role, but not normatively. Rather, it is actively used by entrepreneurs to position themselves in the labor market. For this work, a total of 5 interviews were conducted with owners of three companies. For scientific reference I additionally conducted an expert interview.
