Die Dissertation besteht im Wesentlichen darin, theologische Fragestellungen und philosophische Perspektiven zu verbinden. Inhaltlich liegt daher der Fokus der Arbeit einerseits auf dem Johannes-Evangelium und andererseits auf der Philosophie von Giorgio Agamben und Jean-Luc Nancy. In all den Überlegungen sind zwei Figuren maßgeblich: Schwelle und Er-öffnung. Mithilfe der beiden Begriffe fließen der biblische und der philosophische Zugang schließlich zusammen in einer theologisch-hermeneutischen Perspektive auf das Phänomen des Christlichen als solches. Auf diese Weise soll die Dissertation dazu beitragen, einen theologischen Raum für den Entwurf des christlichen Ereignisses unter dem Zeichen des Oszillierens zwischen Schwelle und Er-öffnung in der Post-Moderne zu öffnen.

Essentially, the dissertation consists of connecting theological questions and philosophical perspectives. In terms of content, therefore, the focus of the work lies on the Gospel of John and on the philosophy of Giorgio Agamben and Jean-Luc Nancy. In all the developed considerations, two figures are decisive: Threshold and opening. Using these two terms, the biblical and the philosophical approach finally flow together in a theological-hermeneutic perspective on the phenomenon of Christianity as such. In that course, the dissertation should help to open a theological space for the draft/outline of the Christian event under the sign of oscillating between threshold and opening in post-modernity.
