Abstract (eng)
The Archdiocese of Vienna reflects on the preparation for the sacraments of children and adolescents. In particular they would like to think about the preparation of the first communion. Therefore, they produced a survey, which interviewed staff and volunteers of the Catholic Church of Vienna. In addition they considered the theological expertise of specialists. Based on their findings, new perspectives and goals in the preparation for the sacraments were developed. For example, the Archdiocese would like to pay special attention to parents and families because they are a very important part of the children's lives. For this reason another survey was released, which allows the parents, themselves, to think about the preparation for the first communion. Accordingly, family circumstances and experiences surrounding the preparation were surveyed. In the context of this master thesis, the results of this survey were compared to the planned steps by the Archdiocese. This leads onto general pastoral-theological perspectives in parental work and demonstrates how the involvement of parents and families in the preparation of the sacraments can be possible. Finally, concepts for this integration were presented in concurrence with the empirical findings.
