Abstract (eng)
The goal of the following master thesis is to analyse the perception of discrimination among women with a migration background in Germany. To do so, I use the intersectional multi-level analysis as proposed by Degele and Winker (2009) applied to the qualitatively guided interviews with three women from the first generation and three women from the second generation of migrant families. I find out that while the women from the first generation often felt excluded due to the linguistic barriers, the women from the second generation often felt classified as a consequence of their migration back-ground. Overall, it could be observed that the corporate culture and the associated well-being at work was of great importance to all respondents, independent of generation.
