In dieser Masterarbeit wurden die verschiedenen Automatisierungsansätze in der Bankenbranche unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Robotic Process Automation (RPA) diskutiert. Die Zulassungskriterien für einen Prozess, der für die Automatisierung durch RPA ausgewählt werden soll, sowie seine Vor- und Nachteile wurden hervorgehoben. Mithilfe einer Fallstudie über die Raiffeisen Bank International gibt das Interview mit internen RPA-Experten einen ganzheitlichen Überblick über Prozesse, die für RPA am besten geeignet sind, und erörtert deren reale Vorteile und Herausforderungen. Eine Zukunft von RPA in seiner hybriden Form wurde beleuchtet und weicht zukünftigen Forschungspunkten.

In this master’s thesis, various approaches of automation in the Banking Industry are discussed with a special focus on Robotic Process Automation (RPA). The eligibility criteria for a process to be chosen for Automation through RPA and its advantages as well as disadvantages are highlighted. Case study on Raiffeisen Bank International and interviews with Internal RPA experts gave a holistic view on processes that are most suitable for RPA, discussing its real-life benefits and challenges. Future of RPA in its hybrid form has been discussed, giving way to future research possibilities.
