Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, den Einfluss des Gedankenguts des italienischen Philosophen und Esoterikers Julius Evola (1898-1974) auf das politisch orientierte esoterische Milieu und den Bearbeitungsprozess des esoterischen Diskurses innerhalb der radikalen Rechten zu analysieren und zu definieren. Evolas Traditionalismus hat das gesamte Milieu stark beeinflusst, sowohl direkt als auch indirekt: Sein Werk hat in den letzten Jahrzehnten an Popularität gewonnen und wurde in mehrere Sprachen übersetzt.
Da die radikale Rechte insgesamt ein zu weites und vielfältiges Feld ist, wird die Arbeit von Paul Waggener (b. 1984), Mitglied der amerikanischen ethnicist- germanischen neopaganen Gruppe “Wolves of Vinland”, und seinem Projekt “Operation Werewolf” zur spezifischen Fallstudie.

The aim of this work is to analyse and define the impact that the thought of Italian philosopher and esotericist Julius Evola (1898-1974) has had on the politically oriented esoteric milieu and the process of adaptation of esoteric discourse within the radical Right. Evola's Traditionalism has profoundly influenced the whole milieu, be it directly or indirectly: his work has increased in popularity in the last decades and has been translated into several languages.
As the radical Right as a whole is a too broad and diverse field, the work of Paul Waggener (b.1984), a member of the American ethnicist Germanic Neo-pagan group Wolves of Vinland, and his project Operation Werewolf will be taken as a specific case study.
