Abstract (deu)
Die vorliegende Masterarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Revolutionssymbolik in der Ukraine im 21. Jahrhundert und betrachtet dabei mittels der Wissenssoziologischen Diskursanalyse die Symbolik der Orangen Revolution 2004/05 und des Euromaidans 2013/14. Dabei wurde eine Klassifikation der Symbole vorgenommen und dabei wurde der Hintergrund ihrer Entstehung und ihre Verwendung geklärt, weshalb die Arbeit auch als Lexikon der Symbole lesbar ist. Die Arbeit soll einen Beitrag zum Verständnis der Rolle der Revolutionen und ihre Symbolik im Nationsbildungsprozess in der Ukraine leisten. Die Autorin erhofft sich dadurch einen detaillierten Einblick in die Thematik verschafft und einen interdisziplinären Erkenntnisgewinn erreicht zu haben.

This master’s thesis deals with the symbolism of the revolutions in Ukraine in the 21st century and analyses the symbolism of the Orange Revolution 2004/05 and the Euromaidan 2013/14 by means of the sociology оf knowledge approach to discourse. The symbols were classified and the background to their creation and use was clarified, which is why the work can also be considered as a lexicon of symbols. The work is intended to contribute to the understanding of the role of revolutions and their symbolism in the nation-building process in Ukraine. The author hopes to provide a detailed insight into the topic and to have accomplished interdisciplinary knowledge.
