Die Bilder entstanden am Dienstag, den 28. März anlässlich des Festaktes im Grossen Festsaal der Universität Wien. Initiator des Festaktes war Prof. Gerhard Langer, Vorstand des Instituts für Judaistik, der den Festakt dann auch moderierte. Die Bilder zeigen die Redner (Reihung laut Programm), den Wiener Jüdischen Chor (musikalisches Rahmenprogramm), den fast bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllten Grossen Festsaal sowie einige Aufnahmen des abschliessenden Empfangs mit koscherem Büffet.

The images were taken on Tuesday, March 28th, on the occasion of the ceremony at the ‘Grosser Festsaal’ (large ceremony hall) of the University of Vienna. The initiator of the commemoration was Prof. Gerhard Langer, head of the Institute for Jewish Studies, who then also moderated the evening. The images show the speakers (sequence according to the program), the Vienna Jewish Choir (musical programme), the large ceremony hall that was almost filled to the last seat, as well as some images of the reception with a kosher buffet.
