Title (eng)
Data repository for ICON simulations performed as part of the MSc Meteorology VU: Climate Modeling Lab, S2023
Researcher
Description (eng)
Authors: Aiko Voigt and Dorian Spät, IMG, University of Vienna Simulations were run on VSC4 with icon-esm-univie (gitlab repo at phaidra), commit d53223183c1ff9e01d3a18b8ad7a4bc2cc3f59d5. For reference, the git repo is included here as icon-esm-univie_DONOTDISTRIBUTE tarz. ATTENTION: ICON requires a license, see https: code.mpimet.mpg.de/projects/icon-license. Do not distribute the icon code included here! Content: * ICON-inputdata: input data needed to run ICON slab ocean simulations, e.g., ocean q-flux, ozone horizontal grid etc. * runs: run scripts for simulations - sstclim_seb: SSTclim simulation to derive ocean q-flux - slabctr: slab ocean control simulation - slabcld0: slab ocean simulation with transparent clouds - slabflat: slab ocean simulation with no topography - slabeye: slab ocean simulation of Eyeball Earth - runscripts_eyeball_slowdown.zip: a set of 10 simulations that start each other to spin down the rotation rate of Earth, needed in preparation for slabeye initial condition * output: simulation output for the above simulations, zonal-mean output only for 3d output to limit output size * python: two unpolished python jupyter notebooks to i) check the time axis and ii) verify that slabctr simulation is close to sstclim_seb * gitlab-issues: pdfs of gitlab issues of https: gitlab.phaidra.org/climate/msc-climmodlab-w2023, kept here for reference in case the gitlab repo gets deleted
