Heute sind die Porphyrsäulen mit Kapitellen um den Altar in der Apsis aufgestellt; vorher (Zustand, der auf dem Foto zu sehen ist) stützten sie das Ziborium in der ehemaligen Capella delle Reliquie; nach Deichmann wurden sie wahrscheinlich erst im 16. Jh. aus dem anliegenden Kloster in die Capella delle Reliquie gebracht, zusammen mit anderen Stücken, die aus dem Theoderich-Palast stammten.
