Jacobus de Voragine (* um 1230 -1298 ) war Erzbischof und kirchenlateinischer Schriftsteller.Jacobus trat 1244 in den Dominikanerorden ein und wurde bereits 1266 Professor der Theologie. Er war hervorragender Redner, wirkte als Wanderprediger und lehrte in den Ordensschulen.

Jacobus de Voragine (c. 1230 -1298) was the Archbishop and Latin church writer. Jacobus entered the Dominican Order in 1244 and was a professor of theology in 1266. He was a brilliant speaker, worked as an itinerant preacher and taught in religious schools.
