Abstract (eng)
This academic work demonstrates the deploymentof young people in the German Reich during the Second world war, focusing on the last two years of the war. This is done based on Artur Axmann´s interrogation files from his Nuremberg captivity in 1947 and a personal interview 50 yearsafterthe end of thewar. The increased militarydeployment of children and young people at the end of the second World War, which he is accused of, gets analyzed. These deployments done by Adolf Hitler's dictatorial regime were possible because millions of children and young people were deprived of their ability to criticize through systematical, propagandistic indoctrination. This massive influence was supported by the Reich Youth Leadership under Baldur v. Schirach and his successor Artur Axmann. For this purpose, the sources of the witness documentation and the interview are evaluated using qualitative content analysis according to Udo Kuckartz and used to answer the questions. In the theoretical analysis of the events from the foundation of the Hitler Youth in 1926, it is supposed to show to what extent the massive influence on the German youth is responsible for their involvement in the last weeks of thewar. The analysis of sources shows how Axmann'spoliticalcareerunfolded and howitincreased the likelihood of children and young people to be deployed in the war. The speeches of the Reich Youth Leader are used to support this.
