This course introduces the fundamental concepts and activities in requirements engineering and the skills and knowledge of a requirements engineer. It covers various methods and strategies for eliciting, documenting, validating and managing requirements.
By the end of the course, attendees will have the ability to:
* Describe the fundamental phases of the requirements engineering process
* Understand select strategies and methods that can be applied in each phase
* Effectively identify relevant standards and modeling languages to formulate requirements
* Develop a basic requirements engineering plan and select appropriate beginner-level methods for a given project
