Abstract (eng)
Pollen is everywhere. An individual pollen profile can be assigned to each location or object. If a specimen is stored by room temperature, pollen will be deteriorated. In this way the pollen profile is modified, which means that the number of intact pollen grains decreases while the number of deteriorated (unidentifiable) pollen grains increases. The amount of such a change varies, but is dependent on time. Despite severe changes in the pollen profile, all pollen types that were present in the pristine specimen are still traceable after several months. That again can be of high importance for forensic studies.
