Abstract (eng)
For more than two millenia, Theocritus and his Eidyllia have been an inspiration for countless writers. The third Eidyllion in particular, the Komos, for its timeless theme of unanswered love, has been a major influence throughout the ages, in anitiquity as well as in the modern era. A critical view on Theocritus' poetical technique and his construction of poems like the Komos shall be given in this thesis.
