Claudius Herkt-Januschek: Speicherverbund Nord - A Regional Print Archiving Cooperative in Northern Germany Video vom Vortrag: https://phaidra.univie.ac.at/o:1627643 Abstract: The Speicherverbund Nord is a print archiving cooperative of seven university libraries - some of them also acting as state libraries - from Northern Germany. Its scope is distributing and documenting the preservation duty for multiple journal holdings, based on a cooperation contract governing long-term responsibilities and access. In this presentation, the development process from a project idea to a regular collaboration will be shown. In addition, our concepts for optimising benefits and costs will be outlined. Claudius Herkt-Januschek is a subject librarian and data analyst in the department of acquisitions of Hamburg State and University Library, where he has been working since 2008. From 2016 to 2021 he was the head of the administrative office of the newly forming Speicherverbund Nord - Print Archiving Cooperative. He holds diplomas in physics and history of science and a master in library and information science.
